Current News and Events at the Center

  • REOPENING: On Tuesday, May 12th, the Center reopened. All of our classes are going very well. We started slowly by resuming our regular schedule of classes. We are now adding more class times for our NAT students and older students. All classes will adhere to the guidelines and recommendations issued by the ODH and the CDC. All students will be required to wear masks that cover both their mouth and nose while inside the Center. Guidelines and recommendations will be discussed with students during each class. See our Photo Gallery for some pictures of the "new" normal for our Taiji class.
  • THE CENTER IS NOW OPEN: February 2020 will mark one year that we have been in our new Center. On Friday, January 11, 2019, we signed the lease to our new Center. The contractors completed the majority of the work on Friday, February 1, 2019. After some initial cleaning, we started classes the following week. After close to thirty years the Center left its location on West Ave in Tallmadge at the end of October 2018. The new Center is located at 1923 Bailey Rd, Suite B, Cuyahoga Fall, OH 44221. Classes have resumed on our regular schedule; see Schedule of Classes.
  • CHINESE NEW YEAR 2020: We celebrated the Chinese New Year for 2020 on Saturday, January 25th. This is the year of the White Metal Rat. We had close to 40 people attend the New Year celebration. We had great food, great company, and a wonderful time. See our Photo Gallery for some pictures from the dinner.
  • WU TANG "HALL OF FAME" TOURNAMENT: Master Yang Xiao Dong (Tony Yang) held his 21st Tournament on Staurday, October 5th at the Shaw Jewish Community Center. • WORLD TAIJI & QIGONG DAY 2020: World Taiji and Qigong Day for 2020 has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 30th. More details will follow once we are sure that we can arrange for a gathering of more than 50 people.
