Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a system of instruction that will develop each student's physical and mental well being, utilizing Taijiquan and Traditional Chinese Martial Arts techniques and training involving physical exercise, breathing, and meditation. Our goal is to provide instruction to build discipline, self-respect, and awareness of ourselves, along with respect for others. Our teaching is presented with a positive attitude that stresses flexibility, balance, and self-defense, as well as coordination of the mind and body.

  • CENTER FOR BODY-MIND HARMONY HAS MOVED INTO THE NAT: On January 3rd we held our first class at the Natatorium in Cuyahoga Falls. We moved our entire Martial Arts program into the NAT. The new classes at the NAT are called Body-Mind Harmony classes or just BMH classes, and are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:15pm to 8:45pm, and Saturdays from 10:00am to 11:30am. Here is a link with additional information about all of the Body-Mind Harmony (BMH) class offerings at the NAT.
  • GREAT LAKES TOUNAMENT: Several BMH students participated in this years Great Lakes Tournament in Maple Heights. All of the BMH students did very well, each student receiving a medal in their event.
  • NAT TAIJIQUAN CLASSES: The Beginner and Advanced Wednesday Taiji classes at the Natatorium continue. Due to the popularity of our Taiji classes, we have added a third class, an Intermediate class. The new class schedule starting in July will be: Advanced class on Wednesdays from 4:45pm to 5:45pm, Intermediate class also on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, and we moved our Beginner class to Tuesdays, 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Class size for each class is limited to 18, so register as soon as registration opens.
  • WORLD TAIJI AND QIGONG DAY: Due to the inclimate weather, we held our World Taiji and Qigong celebration at the NAT. Next year we will again hold our celebration at the NAT and it wil be a community wide celebration. Unfortunately, Master Yang was not able to attend this year's celebration.
